It seems that the good old technique of reconstructing the image of a screen remotely through it's electromagnetic field is back in style. Someone made a device to make this technique work with LCD screens. Others have been recreating those devices to monitor traffic on your network through the small magnetic burst sent by your computer switch's LED.
I wonder how long it'll take for Europe to start monitoring the streets for unlicensed laptops just like they do now for TVs. Anyway, i just wanted to share this with you. The fun thing would be to use these and go "wardriving" down the city roads and snapshot the content of people's screen and make a collage out of them at different time of the day or whatnot... ;-)
